What does 5.2.4 mean?
Five bed-layer speakers, up to two selected powered subwoofers and four height speakers. A 7.2.2 arrangement uses seven bed-layer and two height speakers instead.
Can DRX-5.4 run the full theatre and powered Zone 2 together?
Its internal-amplifier modes support 5.2.4 theatre, or 5.2.2 theatre plus a powered Zone 2 pair. Simultaneous full 5.2.4 and Zone 2 needs a separately verified external-amplifier and routing design. A 7.2.4 theatre also requires external amplification.
Does DRX-8.4 have four independent subwoofer channels?
No. Its four physical subwoofer connections comprise two independent channels and two parallel outputs.
